Scarlett Mallia is a multidisciplinary Melbourne-based visual artist. Working predominantly in painting, sculpture and installation, her work explores the life experiences that connect us as humans. More specifically, Mallia is interested in creating art that brings to light social issues, challenging dominant narratives and advocating for more marginalised perspectives. Currently studying a Bachelor of Design Arts (LCI Melbourne), majoring in visual arts, Mallia has exhibited locally in commercial, institutional and public spaces, and is currently working on an ambitious body of work about intimacy in rave subculture.
